Our Story

So, the story goes a little something like this…

Bill and I met in Martha’s Vineyard one summer back in our college days where we were bartending and waiting tables.  I had come back from living in Hawaii for a few years to visit friends and family and bankroll some more cash for additional travel and adventure.  Bill was going to school and playing rugby but was also saving for his own good times ahead. 
 
In a guy’s world we became the type of buddies where we refer to each other as a brother from another mother.  Well, after Martha’s Vineyard I decided to go travel around the world for almost 2 years, and Bill a few months behind me, moved to Australia where he became a semi-pro surfer.  We kept in limited touch through emails over the years.
 
There was always this easy going, enjoy the moment attitude about life with all the people we encountered.  It was never a spoken thing.  It was just a feeling thing.  Years later Bill and I reconnected here on the mainland of America with our third amigo, Eddie, my brother-in-law (brutha from anotha mutha).  Eddie brought the vision and business savvy.  He saw that FlowLuckyFree was more than a brand.  It is an apparel company with a purpose.  Eddie being a very successful retail store owner on the east coast joined the party.  You can call it God, the Universe, Fate or whatever you call your higher power but FlowLuckyFree was born.  It is not so much something that has been created, but more of a state of mind that has been found and now serves as an awakening.  Almost like a blow to the sense’s that becomes a reminder that everything will be and IS alright.  You just know without a doubt that you must stay true to who you are, true to what you believe, true to where you want to go and true to your passion so that it will be. 
 
Whether it is that great wave you just rode, the last second shot that won a game for your team, your first child coming into the world, a snow day off of school with your first snowboard, getting that date from the hottest person you’ve ever seen when you finally get the courage to ask them out, an incredible catch in the end-zone, < finally reaching the top of that mountain or even that company ladder, it can be any of the gazillion great experiences that this LIFE has to offer that makes your adrenaline level erupt like a volcano and your heartbeat as fast as a hummingbird’s wings can flap, that feeling, that rush, that state of mind my friends is FlowLuckyFree!
 

Now every time you see someone rollin’ down the street with FLF gear on, or you’re wearing it yourself, you will remember to embrace LIFE with passion, breathe and simply let yourself FlowLuckyFree.  It’s in that moment that you’ll smile to yourself and say “aaaaight”.  Plus, the designs rock, the shirt quality is supreme and the philosophy true.  Who doesn’t want to FlowLuckyFree?
